Bio: Jack has over ten years of experience across research, regulation and consulting. He is based in the SLR Consulting Wellington office and involved in consenting, environmental monitoring and reporting across multiple sectors such as aquaculture, offshore industries, ports and coastal infrastructure.

His research has largely been located within applied marine ecology with a focus on quantitative impact assessments of benthic habitats through development of biometric techniques but also dabbled habitat modelling.

His regulatory experience involved providing technical advice to decision makers considering consent applications for resource development activities in the coastal marine area and EEZ in both New Zealand and Ireland. These applications spanned multiple coastal and offshore marine sectors.

In his spare time, Jack is a bit of a weekend warrior, enjoys being involved in a local tramping club, and getting out into the wild places ki uta ki tai.
