Bio: I am the company founder and a Director of DML. My experience as a hydrographic surveyor spans over 35 years. I began my career in the Royal New Zealand Navy achieving the rank of Lt Cdr and position of deputy Hydrographer of the Navy. I departed the Navy in 1998 to build DML Surveys which has recently celebrated 21 years of operation. I have been very hands on through much of my career and recently received the Award of Merit, for Career Achievement in Hydrography, from the Australasian Hydrographic Society.

I am an IHO Cat A qualified hydrographic surveyor and one of my other key roles being based in Tauranga is that of the Hydrographer for Port of Tauranga. I have a love for the ocean and still relish the opportunity to work in varied and challenging environments.
