Bio: Environmental scientist managing the coastal and estuarine environment in the Bay of Plenty.
My PhD research investigated the role of denitrification in New Zealand coastal lagoons and estuaries, and the key biological and sediment drivers of this important ecosystem service.
I have a background in estuarine health surveys, shellfish and water quality sampling, through positions in both government and private sectors working as an estuarine technician.
I am a qualified diver, holding a Divemaster certification and a Scientific Diver Course, and am currently working on hours towards applying for a Certificate in Competency in Occupational Scientific Diving.
