Bio: Jack is an Associate Consultant at SLR Consulting. He has a keen interest in sustainable marine resource management and is particularly interested in work carried out at the interface of applied science and management practices. Jack’s PhD in marine science focused on applied benthic ecology and quantitative assessments of the interaction of aquaculture and renewable energy with coastal habitats in Ireland and the UK. Jack has also worked in central government in both Ireland and New Zealand as a technical advisor to decision makers considering consent applications for a range of activities from coastal aquaculture to offshore oil and gas exploration and development.
