Bio: Environmental Engineer from the University of Medellin, Colombia and Master in Oceanography from the ULPGC, Spain. I was a professor at the University of Antioquia, Colombia for 10 years with the Oceanography and Oceanographic Engineering programs. Currently, I am a PhD student in Emergency Management at Massey University, developing my thesis on the implementation of citizen science techniques for landslide monitoring, mainly rock falls in coastal areas. I have also worked with issues related to coastal erosion, microplastic pollution, sediment transport, beach geomorphology, vulnerability studies, among others.
