Senior Coastal & Maritime Engineer

Bio: Chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng) and holding a Masters in Coastal Engineering, Andrew has 10 years’ experience as a consulting engineer, 7 years of which were with the UK civil engineering and environmental hydraulics consultancy, HR Wallingford. Having started his career as a researcher, and specialising in physical model testing, he has gained a unique insight in to the performance of a range of coastal and marine structures which he uses in combination with his project management and design skills to deliver engineering solutions for our clients. Working in the Middle East for 2.5 years as a project and business development manager he helped secure and deliver projects of varying scale and complexity including waterfront developments, port and marina upgrades, as well as marine infrastructure associated with oil and gas facilities, and power plants. Since joining Tonkin + Taylor in 2017 he has enjoyed working closely with regional authorities and contractors to deliver shoreline management and marine infrastructure solutions for local communities.
