Bio: Andrew is a research scientist based at NIWA’s Hamilton campus. He has 26 years research and consulting experience. Research areas include estuarine sedimentary processes, biogeomorphology and evolution, resilience of mangrove forests to sea level rise, sediment-tracing techniques for integrated catchment-estuary management and biophysical effects of land use activities on estuaries. Andrew has an M.Sc. (Hons, Geography) from the University of Auckland and a Ph.D. (Marine Science) from the University of Queensland.
Andrew joined NZCS in 1993 and served on the Executive Committee from 2008 to 2013.
