Bio: My name is Christin Atchinson. I moved from Germany to New Zealand in 1996. I am passionate about the coastal environment and studied marine science at Canterbury and Auckland universities focussing in my Masters thesis on coastal processes. I was then employed by the Bay of Plenty Regional Council as Resource Officer for two years. Since 2010 I am employed by the Waikato Regional Council as a Senior Resource Officer. I process consents and undertake compliance monitoring for coastal activities. My special interest is in marine farming and I project manage and advise on aquaculture in the Waikato region.
