Bio: Christine is the Programme Manager (Head of Department) for the Department of Environmental Management at the Southern Institute of Technology. Christine holds a PhD from the University of Auckland investigating the geomorphology of reef islands, and a Masters from the University of Toronto investigating lacustrine sediment and microbiology. She is also a certified EP in Canada and has industry experience in the geospatial field. Her current role at SIT involves managing the Bachelor and Graduate degrees, as well as research and supervision, and lecturing in earth science and environmental science courses. Undeterred by the fact that everyone else in NZCS is a surfer, Christine is an avid rock climber.
