Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka

Bio: I have thoroughly enjoyed studying Ecology and Geography at the University of Otago, with a particular focus on coastal dunes. The interactions between physical processes and vegetation in these dynamic environments have captivated my interest. As I continue my studies, I aim to apply my cross-disciplinary knowledge of environmental, socioeconomic, and cultural issues to real-world solutions. My academic work has equipped me with skills in data collection, analysis, and problem-solving, and I am eager to use these to tackle the unique challenges of coastal ecosystems. I strive to be a hands-on, community-focused researcher with practical, communicative, and problem-solving skills I have developed throughout my studies and experiences.
