The New Zealand Coastal Society invites you to be part of our upcoming Special Publication (#6) focusing on Management, Impacts, and Measurements of Coastal Sediments
About the Special Publication:
In this exciting issue, we aim to explore the multidimensional aspects of coastal sedimentation, delving into topics such as sediment routing, sediments from source to sink and management from a Te Ao Māori perspective, extreme events and cumulative impacts, climate change, contaminated sediment management, carbon sequestration in coastal sediments (e.g., blue carbon), and much more.
Join Our Diverse Community of Contributors:
We welcome contributions from a wide array of voices and perspectives including communities, kaitiaki, hapū/ iwi, planning, engineering, mātauranga Māori, science, management, policy, law, economics, and resource management. Together, let's create a benchmark of the current state of the art, integrating diverse knowledge systems and envisioning future directions for measuring and managing coastal sedimentation ki uta ki tai (from the mountains to the sea).
