Bio: Civil Engineering professional with nearly 9 years of professional experience in Industry and Academia. Currently a PhD Research Scholar in Civil and Environmental Engineering at The University of Auckland, New Zealand. I have been a former Lecturer in Civil Engineering, Fiji National University (FNU). Taught BE (Honors) in Civil Engineering (Level 8) under Washington accord and Post Graduate Diploma (Level 8) for interdisciplinary studies in Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation. Capstone (Level8) and Design projects (Level 7) Supervisor for BE (Honors). Curriculum design for BE (Hons) in-line with the ENZ accreditation requirements for Water and Environmental Engineering courses. Coordinator for establishment of Water and Environmental laboratories at FNU. Involved in active research pertaining to Sustainability in Civil Engineering, Climate Change Resilience and Adaptation. Peer-reviewed publications, Reviewer, and Member of International collaborative research groups. Active member of Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network (CCRN). Key Speaker for “International Knowledge Exchange Workshop” organized by ACU-British Council and Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network, 26-27 May 2021 as well as a key speaker at the 13th Water and Wastewater Regional Conference under the theme “Building a Water-Resilient Pacific. SDG6, are we there yet?” organized by Water Authority of Fiji and Pacific Water & Wastewater Association, Network, 14-18 Nov 2022. Active researcher and coinvestigator for CLARE (Climate Adaptation and Resilience) external grant (IDRC Canada) in Fiji.
