Bio: I am currently enjoying journey toward a PhD in Environmental Sciences at the University of Waikato working in the Coastal Marine Group. My passions include the natural environment, marine ecology, animal behaviour and birds. My research focuses on understanding the cumulative impacts of multiple stressors on shellfish. The project aims to: 1) review current evidence on shellfish responses to multiple stressors at different life history stages 2) identify key environmental/stressor variables affecting abundance and distribution of estuarine shellfish via analysis of existing data, and 3) determine the cumulative effects of stressor interactions on shellfish populations. Results will aid decision-making and identify priorities for stressor management to prevent further degradation and allow for recovery of shellfish populations
